This is a considerable head unit. pure sound and control -time alignment, X-over, Parametric EQ
I 'm gay to have it.
But there are some disadvantages
1-Remote control lacks some necessary features, especially when dealing with Ipod.
2-Bluetooth car kit is very poor, I don't know how Alpine did it.
3-The unit is Impress ready but disabled, you have to lift KTX-100EQ which is about 200-250$.
4-MultiEQ disables time alignment and EQ.
This is the fourth Alpine head unit I have purchased; it's also the best. The Tag sound system offfers crisp, orderly sound. The amount of features is more than enough for honest about anyone. Purchasing the hi-speed ipod connection cable is a must (Alpine KCE-422i) . The interface is easy to exhaust and Alpine's fresh blue indicate color (it can be changed to red or green) is broad, as is the remote control unit. Definitely a stout stereo!
The cda-9887 is diffidently an audiophile deck; it is one of the best head units I have ever customary. the only reasons I have given it a 4 star review are, the I pod control is impartial ok it will not allow you to return to the play list once you have selected a song without starting over. And the menu requires you to press too many buttons, alpine could have streamlined this. Although once you pick up the hang of it its no great deal. Also net the ticket it is the reason to select this deck. If you utilize a Mac computer you will have to utilize a pc laptop from a friend (alpine + Mac = no dice) but once you state it up you will be amazed. The improvement is dramatic.
